Is very clear the importance of inner silence, because well used is a powerful ally. Moreover, inner silence is necessary in almost warrior techniques.

Come to my mind the zen (chan buddhism) basis. The no mind mode.(mushin).

Live the present, actively, every second of the existence. Is a good beggining to achieve the inner silence, the no mind state, the mushin.

But, who am I to say that, to achieve a goal there is nothing write, and any way is possible.

Of course ,any way easy to probe; look look I'm in inner silence while I dream....no please, not again!

Using the mind to get the inner silence.

The mind is a good way to get the inner silence.

Closing the eyes, and "changing" any thought in clouds.
The analogy is, in the sky are clouds, but the wind move this clouds.

In the mind are thoughts, but the mindwind move this thoughts.

Important, straight back.
Not very important, close or open eyes.

The goal is make this "trick" in movement or in any moment to get the inner silence.

Nagualism's techniques are certainly more effective than zen's techniques which may seem appealing to a western person only to reveal themselves too intellectual... in fact zen works pretty well only when also the body is involved (martial arts), however only a complete recapitulation succeds in discarding our deep engrained and mechanical interior dialogue

Zen only working when the body is involved? Phoey! What does it matter if you are striking someone, or talking to them. The mind always plays a part. I know lots of students of zen who have reached very impressive levels of inner silence.

Mind is something more than electrical impulses.

In my opinion there are at least two levels of inner silence:

1) No internal dialog (no hearing of words in one�s mind)

2) No acknowledgement of the mind only of that which is perceived. In other words when one sees a rock, at the first level one does not think ââ?¬Å?rockââ?¬
