"Despite his own apparent inconsistencies and fears, Carlos Castaneda endeavoured to provide himself and others with a vision of energetic mystery and magnificence that was in direct opposition to the bleak offerings of our social paradigm and its mode of energetic imprisonment. His willingness to take a stand against the forces of those who sought to manipulate his energy into the distorted patterns that they had embraced in their own fear was a true act of courage. I publicly offer my thanks to him and his associates. They have pushed the door open a little bit further for all of us.
The abundance of resentment, anger, fear and argument that has ensnared many since his departure, however, is directly attributable to the erroneous belief that he, his associates, and other related agencies have left a trail of victims. Nothing could be further from the truth. Every person that seeks a scapegoat for their own shortcomings or lack of self-awareness is a person who has not learned to accept full responsibility for their current energetic state, including their thoughts, beliefs, fears and actions (or lack thereof)"
