Carlos Castaneda supposedly died on April 27th, 1998. Not much is known about his death.
Tales of Power was published in 1975.
Now even is Castaneda died sometime before 98, it was indeed much later than 1975, as there is VIDEO footage of Castaneda in the 80 and 90's. Watch "Tales Of The Jungle" documentary. you can find it on google video or You Tube.
Whoever gave you this piece of information decieved you (or was decieved themselves). But I think the biggest deciever here is the person to themselves who believed this information without staring at the common sence facts staring us straight in the face.
