The Use Of Salvia Divinorum
#11

For me salvia was a learing experience. Learning to control your self while smoking salvia is sort of like a really vivid powerfull lucid dream. You understand what is happeneing but it is so intense you dont really understand it at the moment. For me my most intesne experience was when after i smoked it an entity came to me and the took me to my home town and we walked around for like 30 seconds, but then it said it had to go and that i would find it next time i smoked . And then I was back and it was over as quickly as it started. I feel like there is a whole undiscovered world while under salvia and its just waiting to be discovered.

FOR PEOPLE THINKING ABOUT TRYING SALVIA READ THIS

Salvia is an amazing thing. But in order to obtain the full affects and benefits you must get the savia to a certain high heat. To do this i suggest using a water pipe or just a regular pipe. Because if you just smoke it normal you wont feel anything except a bit high. But if you smoke it with a pipe and hold in the smoke for as long as possible you can have really amazing experiences. Also i suggest going with a flavored salvia becuase the normal stuff tastes terrible. And when you do it be sure to be somwhere quiet where no one will bug you. But it is always good to have sober sitter. so the I suggest for somone just starting out go with the 5x.
After the 5x move to the 10x. After about 5 times with the 10x you should feel fairly comfortable. Then this is where the real journey begins. Moving on try the 20x. Also ive heard about an extract that you just put a dab on your tounge. But i havnt tried it yet. And finally for those of you who dont like to smoke you can buy a vaporizer. It eliminates all the smoke. But its a more expensive alternative

I have done some studies on the chemical makeup of salvia.. (a widely used aztec, 'hallucinogen')... and found that while it is true it should be heated to a certain degree.. it should also be smoke from a pipe with a great air-flow.. it requires a certain amount of oxygen (air) to be very potent... I personally use a small glass pyrex pipe, that has an amazing air-flow causing a very harsh but 'intense' hit..

The amazing time is when you feel like the vibrations or 'chaos' inside of you instead of out side of you.. they are easier to control..... it'll happy if you stay still for awhile..
like start your experiences sitting in a chair.. or on the ground almost laying down.. very comfortable and don't try and move yet.. work from the inside out.. The best thing to do, is look at a tree.. or some sort of vegetation... and just think.... do not control anything.. just FLOW... be fluid like a warrior.. and just sit and watch... it is highly profound.. keep doing this... until you feel invigorated to smoke it.. when its a thrill and almost addictive.. because generally salvia is a very hated or feared drug.. not a pleasant one like marijuana.. so to build this relationship with salvia is necessary.. it doesn't welcome everyone..... ONLY a warrior.. You truly have to be strong and on a path with a heart or you will be terrified.. or confused.. Salvia is gentle .. but .. not only.. it is the duality yet the singularity.. you can divine great things with it.. and know all things.. it is amazing. But not necessary after you build the relationship.. after that.. 'she' is always there.

i do agree, salvia is not for everyone. Almost everyperson ive talked to about it said that they didnt like it and that it was scary or that it just wasnt a good experience. for me it was an amazinging experience. I cant wait till i get back to the states so i can use it again. Was there ever any mention of salvia in CC books?

Drakewan do you want to share any of your experiences?

they are my own and would only distract from your own... but I will say.. that when you peer and focus on a certain thing, you can become greatly aquainted with it, if you are 'polite'... and accepting of thought... be fluid.. no control..

reading these two pages might assist in some freedom of thought..

although they are still constructs.. they atleast lead to greater understanding..
take them for what they are... words.. with sequence that have effect on your thought process, for either a positive or negative reason..
I believe if you even sit and do this without salvia you can accomplish this.. it just takes focus and concentration... and being fluent.. to just observe something for a very long time.. salvia has her own way of bringing you to greet the objects of your focus..
when you fine tune you outter-vision.. move to observing thoughts that you create.. but don't get caught up with any one of them.. they are all the same.. just thought. that is all there is.. see them all as equal and you will be free to choose all of them.

I've only used salvia a handful of times, but the effects were always a disturbing challenge to deal with. I consistently get this feeling of a wind blowing gale force inside my being. Probably this is my experience of the shift of the assemblage. I inevitably become aware of lots of beings around me. The first time I had the distinct impression of being plucked out of the ground by a giant hand. Then the floor fell away to an abyss. I'm typically of the opinion that sometimes the beings are fellow travellers who I don't know. The last time I felt as if dozens of sets of eyes suddenly opened perpendicular to my upright angle, as if in this reality I was laying down. I had the simultaneous sensation of being in some sort of cathedral setting. These beings seemed to have this how dare you, mortal attitude. That last time I just said, I belong here tending the incense and wax, and it caused a shift from that hostility. It seems important to assert your right to travel in these threads humbly. I think salvia could be useful for developing and practicing control in dream states, since it seems to be a parallel state, with the added bonus of being awake throughout the experience.

I think that is not a use for a plant, is an abuse.

In Mexico is very uncommon use plant of that way (shortcuts to illumination).

A way dont have shortcuts. Consist only in a simple and straight walking.

My opinion, and please take it as nothing more than an opinion is that there were sophisticated uses of the numerous hallucinogenic species of flora(and fauna if you include the bufo toad)native to what is now Mexico. In CC's first book, which I have the inclination to believe is his most authentic goes along with what years of ethnography and archaeology have asserted on that subject. These indigenous psychic abilities are something we cannot understand without the technology, much as if we were trying to explain a jet engine to a medieval peasant in Europe (they would probably have labeled it witchcraft too). I happen to believe that it was through the systematic use of powerful hallucinogens that they contacted very real entities (allies or other inorganic beings? the spirit of Man? uayob?) that communicated explicitly what is still one of the worlds most accurate calendars. There is no other explanation with the possible exception of the practice of head binding/skull shaping how any people of that age, anywhere in the world could calculate time in way that is still very difficult to conceptualize. In fact it flies in the face of the assertions that these substances should be schedule 1 since there have been obvious uses historically that were included in pharmacopias and religious rites. This is relevant to of course the subject as a whole, salvia in particular was never mentioned to my recollection in any of CC's books and remains unscheduled in the US, but there is no doubt it was and is used in some parts of Mexico, particularily Oaxaca. If I'm not mistaken that was where the "western" world came across hallucinogenic psilocybin mushrooms as well, also which were discussed in the teachings of Don Juan. Speaking of the assemblage point, hallucinogens and whatnot, has anybody heard of psilocybin being the only treatment developed so far to treat OCD? The treatment group was small, but it makes sense.

I will check the first book, to find the subject Enteogen substances and calendar or any mention of that.
In Mexico, the use of poisonus toad such as enteogen is very very rare, the most common use is in Australia.

Still, insist, the use of enteogenic substances to achieve a goal, in this case learn about time measurement, or the most common case, an extatic state is a little uncommon.

Maybe Im in a error.

I take offense to ANYONE who says that taking any kind of entheogenic substance, or any psychedelic substance is a short-cut... that is utter BS. Only people afraid of them say that kind of shit... It's actually toooo much work...

Those "drugs" force you to deal with very difficult concepts and memories and philosophies it literally changes your internal landscape... and a skilled person can attain great states thru experience and great discipline... so for you to spout off about how its a short-cut is utter garbage to me.
It takes great discipline to get the spirit of Salvia to speak with you and to show you things.. not just any fool can do such things... it TAKES WORK, there are no short cuts taking drugs... only clowns who like to act like a character think they are short-cuts because thats what they were looking for... Try looking with your EYES! and listening with your ears... because everything has a way of communicating with you, and different plants when ingested can give you a great understanding of its view-point and relationship with the world thru its eyes.
