This took place in 1960-1961 before Castaneda even met don Juan, although he would have read the book (which was published in 1980), as he endorsed the 1990 edition.Think me completely dim, but I've been struggling with your antecedents in this little piece and cannot decide who would have read and endorsed whose work/book. Please clarify the time-line and personalities for me!
