hello!

this is a brand new forum dedicated to discussing the works of carlos castaneda and shamanism, as well as anything you feel is related.

my hope is that those with questions might find some useful advice. and those with experience may find others to talk to about these experiences.

as i mentioned, this website is brand new, and there will be changes coming. if you have any comments or suggestions about things you'd like to be included here, or if you have any questions, just let us know.

I see people are looking. But as of yet, still no one talking. Which is fine. I'm not really much of a talker usually either. Which is slightly ironic i suppose.

I'm still not completely sure how long i will continue with this site. It's just a bit of an experiment really. I wonder sometimes as i browse different myspace and 'tribe' groups about nagualism as to whether anything useful can actually be accomplished through disscussing this path online.

But yesterday something gave me another dash of hope. I'd never really taken much notice of the 'Nagualist Newsletter' on the Sustained Action website. This seems to have been written at a time when there was a lot of activity going on with the release of Magical Passes. The Nagual's party was out and about giving many talks and workshops.

What I found interesting is that people were talking about their experiences; what worked or didn't work for them. Questions that they had were brought up and discussed. What works for one, won't work for everyone. But it may help a few. In fact, I picked up a few things that have helped me a great deal.

I feel like there is a possibility that we may be able to help each other at least minimally. I'm not looking for companionship. I have plenty of that when I need it. What I'm looking for are people who may say just the right thing to help me get through some of the 'thick' parts of my skull.

Maybe I can be a talker after all...

Sugestion:

Maybe the site managers could start a glossary for those of us who might have forgotten some of the terms and to allow people who happen to stumble in here a resource.

It could be set up like urban dictionary.com where anyone can post a term and it definition and other can edit, adjust, add to it.

That's a great suggestion. I'm not so sure that we'd be able to pull off the user editable glossary anytime soon, but suggestions for new additions could always be made in the forums. I may put up a suggestions forum too for this purpose. [edit: suggestion forum done]

the site layout is unattractive and hard on the eyes. Im here so that means you definatly did a good job advertising on the shaman groups. have you left a message in the second attention group?

most things stated here are everywhere else. from books to internet...your the middleground. Ideas that differ from the rest of the sites are hard to come by but maybe something like a locals for shaman practicers and a step into deeper more adult practices. sure you can say not-doing and make a thread but can you imagine a not-doing that was beyond the standard? pictures are pretty and links to entheobotanics are cool too.

i like your site. i came to find more indepth tactics and practices and maybe even some locals. a path with heart section would be nice and could be creative. what is a path with heart section contain? w/e direction someone imagines on doing someday. just thoughts. i like your site.

I like the straightforwardness of the sight layout, It's easy to navigate and looks like some one put alot of work into it. I surf the web all the time and never post to anything. Most of the time it seems these types of sights are a release for someones self importance or just a whole bunch of talking and no real expirence with the techniques. The reason I've began posting is I think I can trust myself enough to do this without assurtions of the self and my compulsion to be a know it all. Please feel free to critisize, please critisize.
